CAPONE
I can’t say enough about Ryan! She is the kindest, most compassionate and patient person with our Capone. Ryan and Capone have an emotional bond, and on Ryan‘s days off Capone looks for her. Ryan has relieved my anxiety regarding Capone being home alone during the day. I am so grateful that Ryan cares for our Capone. Ryan is a blessing! ❤️🐾🦴

MAISIE
Bringing your Pup or dog to Pawsitivity Day Care is equivalent to bringing your dog to a Five Star Hotel. The dogs have a beautiful home with open play rooms in Ryan’s home . The pups choose what doggie bed they want what toys to play with , also a choice to play indoors or out .
The back yard like a little forest with trails to run around in . A deck and a covered space in case they need shade or want to get out of the rain. Never fear though, the pups, all are being carefully watched and interacting with Ryan.
Ryan instinctively knows what each pup may need to work on. Ryan teaches manners and social skills all in a very subliminal way And I must say successfully .I call Ryan a dog whisperer. My pup Maisie now 18 month loves Ryan she gets so excited to see her and just can’t stay away from receiving Ryan’s hugs and playful affection. As soon as I turn down her street Maisie starts jumping with joy and excitement My pooch was or is what one may call Delightfully neurotic but Ryan has her now as an A student.
From the adventure hikes to just chillin at the home each dog gets special attention and training specially tailored for that pooch.
Pawsitivity Day care or Adventures are one of a kind Maisie was a lucky poodle when she met Ryan on the trails and I was a very lucky new Mom.
Ryan has helped us immensely. 5 stars all Around

ELSA
We were introduced to Ryan and Pawsitivity31 by a neighbor. Our new pup and theirs got along famously and we were seeking an outlet for our youngster. Being a COVID pup, we wanted to be sure she got both people and animal socialization. Pawsitivity31 was/is the perfect fit. Ryan is so caring, and Elsa took to her immediately. We’re amazed at how much our girl has grown in both confidence and listening. Ryan has a way with pups that is amazing. The biggest side benefit after a day with Ryan on adventures and activities, she is so tired we get a relaxing evening! We’ll continue to send Elsa to Ryan and would recommend her to anyone with confidence.

PERDITA
We were fortunate to get our dog, Perdita, during the COVID-19 quarantine this last Spring. Struggling to socialize our new puppy we learned about Ryan and Pawsitivity from a friend who’s family had been using Ryan for years. Upon calling Pawsitivity, Ryan quickly invited us over for a meet and greet with her dogs. It didn’t take long for us to realize Ryan’s love for dogs and how wonderful Ryan is with Perdita. She integrated Perdita into her group adventures at a comfortable speed for both Perdita and us. She takes Perdita on wonderful adventures in the woods, giving our dog confidence off leash and with other dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Perdita’s FAVORITE day of the week is when she goes to Ryan’s! We can’t thank her enough.

BOW & FENWAY
My boys have been going with Ryan for almost 2 years now. They started going when my youngest was just a pup. She was instrumental in helping to train him, including off-leash walks. I would never have felt comfortable doing that on my own! Every time my boys go for the day, I can expect them to come home exhausted from trail walks and playing with their friends. Bottom line - Ryan is like a 2nd mom to my boys, they love her, and I wouldn’t trust anyone more than her! I HIGHLY recommend Pawsitivity for daycare, walks, and boarding!! 🐾🐾 Bow & Fenway's Mom

DIA
I have never used or needed “dog daycare” until shortly before Covid. I have a really brilliant and complicated service dog. She is an Australian Shepherd and we did not become partners until she was a year old. I regret missing her first year a lot. But we work really well together and she thrives on the mental stimulation.
When she arrived to begin life with me, she had wonderful “manners” playing with any dog….but as time went on and play with the same dog became really inconsistent, I started noticing her pick up play habits from random encounters that I did not want to become permanent. So I thought perhaps enrolling her in a dog daycare might help her get back to her better “manners” with supervised play time by people who knew what they were doing.
The problem became that she has been trained to never let me out of her sight and she would not get out of the car. I have a flexible schedule (especially during Covid) but because of medications that I am on, it is impossible for me to drop her off anywhere before 10:00am. Many day care places don’t have that flexibility. I found one that did. She seemed to be making progress from photos that I received while she was there….but she never got to the point of jumping out of the car on her own. The staff had to come and help her out of the car and wait until I had gone. Then the staff changed and it was just too complicated. I need a relationship with the staff looking after her before she can have a relationship. I need to trust the person supervising her before she can.
So a friend recommended Pawsitivity and Ryan Mercik as another option to try. What my friend loves is that Ryan both picks up and drops off her dog and the dog has a trail adventure that my friend would never be able to give the dog. According to her, her dog comes home really happy and loves being with Ryan. So I tried it out.
I really appreciate Ryan’s flexibility!!! I take my dog on trail walks all the time, and she never runs off. So I didn’t think it would be an issue for her to join Ryan’s trail walks….however….I was wrong! My dog did not stay with the pack. She was not in danger, but she was a pain in the neck and way to stressful for anybody to worry about.
So we worked out a different solution. She spent short amounts of time gradually getting longer with different types of dogs. Ryan figured her out by paying attention to her quirks. Then she figured out dogs that my dog enjoyed being with and she worked with me so that Dia has her needs met and I have a day to do “boring things” that I don’t need a service dog for. It is a win win.
Right from the beginning Dia jumped out of the car. Nobody had to bodily pick her up. So that in itself was a relief. Dia comes home happy and stimulated. Ryan and I continue to work together with Dia’s quirks. Ryan is HONEST and lets me know what is really going on behind the scenes. How great is that? For me it is fabulous. Dia's Mom C. Ford

TUCKER
Ryan has been amazing with my dog Tucker. She welcomes the dogs into her home with open arms and lots of tail wags. I haven't found anything quite like pawsitivty and haven't ever felt so comfortable leaving my dog for the day or night. Her calm presence is appreciated, especially as an owner of a sometimes timid and emotional pup. It is easy to see that all the dogs look up to her and even though she lets them run wild, they still know she's in charge! My dog loves coming here and starts whining when we turn on her street. I love getting photo updates and seeing his smile and crazy aerobics while on a hike or a walk on the beach. She lets the dogs run free, wrestle and get dirty, as they should! My dog always comes home happy and tired and I couldn't ask for anything more!

PEBBLES
My dog loves visiting Ryan and the dogs at Pawsitivity31. She so enjoys the adventures and running free. Ryan is very conscientious and thoughtful with my dog and myself. Always keeping in contact with me and sending me photos of my dog having fun. I totally trust her and believe she has a great understanding of dogs... behavior, training and needs.
So glad I found her!

BRUNO
Words can not express the way I feel about Pawsitivity!!! Ryan is the absolute best! I could tell the first time I talked to her how much she truly cares about dogs. Bruno truly is a happier dog when he has a play date with his dog buds. The adventures they go on our amazing I feel completely confident leaving Bruno with her for a day or a week. DUKE
Ryan took care of our 1 year old puppy while we went on vacation. It was such a relief to know that our puppy was with Ryan. She is extremely attentive to all the dogs in her care and she treats them like her own. She takes them on daily outings so they can run and play as well as having a fenced in backyard for the dogs to run. She has baskets of toys for the dogs and they lounge in her family room. Also, she provided multiple daily updates to my 14 yo daughter which helped her feel better about leaving our dog. Ryan also shares pictures on Facebook and Instagram so you can see a lot of pictures and videos of your dog while you are away. I highly recommend Ryan and would use her services again. We are grateful for the care that she gave our puppy.

DAISY
I had just moved to Kittery Point in January 2019 with my 12 year old Golden Retriever Daisy. My landlord suggested that I reach out to their friend Ryan who took their special guy Ollie on daily adventures with some of his friends.
Ryan came to visit Daisy and I and sat and chatted to learn more about us and what Daisy liked to do and how much the old girl could do! It felt like Daisy and I have always known Ryan! Very warm and welcoming and you could really see how much Ryan loves all her fury Pals!
Daisy has so much fun on her adventures with Ryan and her pack! It is very comforting to know that Daisy is in good hands at all times with Ryan.
I have even called Ryan on advice with some helpful hints for upset tummy issues with my old girl. Ryan took the time and talked to me at length with some very helpful hints.
Thank you Ryan for all that you do for my Daisy! I don't know what we would do with out you!
You are the BEST! Daisy's Mom

JACK
It is with great pleasure that I share my experience with the care my dog receives from Ryan, the owner of Pawsitivity. She provides the dogs in her care with a blissful environment. Ryan has a magical balance of gentle yet arduous care creating a safe experience in which the dogs are able to spend hours swimming, running, chasing, playing and resting. I observe the dogs' loyalty and allegiance to their caretaker which demonstrates the positive direction they receive.
My Jack is my companion and it brings me great joy that when he is not in my care; he is certainly in the care of a loving and kind dog lover..

LAGO
My dog Lago absolutely LOVES going to daycare at Pawsitivity31. I was looking for a place that he could get exercise and be in a home environment rather than a large group situation. Ryan is so great with the dogs and takes them for a 2 hour plus off leash hike every day. My dog has a better life then me! I highly recommend Pawsitivity! M. T. O'Brien | Rye, NH | October, 2019

PASHA
Pawsitivity is a place where your dog will be loved, taken care of, and socialized with other dogs in a home setting. Ryan makes sure your dog is safe, loved and nurtured throughout the day. My dog Pasha loves Ryan, and all her dog friends. I am lucky enough to have found her. Pawsitivity is positively GREAT! Nancy Cartier | York, ME | 2019

SCOOTER
Ryan has a wonderfully welcoming home and yard. I needed to board my 13 week puppy for 4 days and was feeling very cautious about choosing a facility. After visiting 4 other locations I came to Ryan at Pawsitivity and was immediately impressed. She provides enriching and loving in home care with abundant outdoor activity included. Scooter had a wonderful 4 days and I got lots of photos and videos for reassurance. Scooter came home tried, happy and almost fully house trained. I highly recommend Ryan’s services.

GEORGY
I recently had an accident and injured my foot. I wasn't able to walk, and was concerned about taking my dog for his daily run. I called Ryan and she immediately agreed to pick him up in the morning, take him for a run in the park with her other dogs, and return him to me later. I was struck by how quickly he went in her car despite the presence of other dogs, and by the end of the day, he was in love with Ryan and her gang. Ryan has a special gift with animals, and her service is responsive, flexible, accommodating, and reasonably priced. It's a great comfort for me to know that I have her as a back up should I need it.
I highly recommend her services.

SCOUT
My husband met Ryan over the summer of 2018 while out walking with our new puppy and came home and told me about this woman who had 6 dogs with her at the park and suggested we give her a try for day care. ( I personally thought she must be crazy taking 6 dogs out by herself!!) We had already tried 2 local daycares and were ok with them but not impressed. We dropped Scout off for his first day with Ryan and were amazed how well behaved he was when we picked him up that afternoon. She had taken him out for an “adventure” with several other dogs and he obviously was “dog tired”. His socializing with other well-behaved dogs has certainly rubbed off on him!! We have since been bringing Scout to Ryan’s 1-2 times per week and we look forward to it as much as he does. He has turned out to be a wonderful dog at the age of 6 months now and I certainly can say, Ryan has had a big part in this with her positive attitude and influence, she truly loves her job. We recently left Scout for a week while away in Ireland knowing he would be in good hands. Ryan kept us updated with text and pictures daily which put us at ease being so far away. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care Ryan has provided, we call her the “Dog Whisperer” when telling our friends about her and I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone with a beloved pet, you will not be disappointed!!!

TUCKERMAN
I think for anyone who has and loves a dog, it’s a challenge and a worry to know with whom you can leave your beloved friend when travel forces you away. A couple of years ago, my husband and I discovered Ryan Mercik and Pawsitivity31 in Kittery, Maine; since then, such worries have gone away. Ryan’s dedication to the dogs in her care goes well beyond anything we have experienced in the 30 years we’ve had a canine companion in our lives. Not only does she treat your pet with love and kindness in her home, she provides them with exercise and play in a variety of settings—by the sea and in inland parks. All the while, she provides a continuous stream of photographs so that you can see your pet is being well cared for and having the time of his or her life! In her home, visiting pets get to sleep and play with Ryan’s own wonderful pups, like a member of the family. When we pick our boy up, he always looks happy, content, and well cared for. We simply cannot say enough good things about Ryan and Pawsitivity31. It’s the best dog sitting service you could ask for.

SKIPPER
Ryan is a responsible, positive and loving caretaker! Before I began to write a review for Ryan, I read through the other reviews on her website. She has received so much positive feedback because she deserves it! She recently kept our 9-month old puppy, Skipper, for 9 days and we couldn’t have asked for better care. She is dedicated to her dogs and her business. We appreciated her text updates with photos and log of daily adventures. She gets the dogs out in all kids of weather and our puppy needed the exercise. He also benefitted from the socialization with other dogs. When Ryan comes to pick him up he goes crazy for her. It is clear that she provides a loving, healthy environment for the dogs in her care. We are very grateful to her and never worry when our dogs are with her. Thank you, Ryan!

TUCKER
I could not be anymore grateful for Ryan at Pawsitivity31!!! To say I was a nervous wreck leaving my 6 month old puppy, while going away on vacation, would be an understatement. Ryan 100% put my mind at ease with her confidence and knowledge plus the daily pictures, videos and texts of Tucker were comforting and amusing.
Her love and attention to Tucker was as if he was one of her own. Everyday he had other dogs to play with and was entertained either by zooming around the yard, playing/relaxing inside, going on adventures or all of the above!
Ryan goes above and beyond to ensure your furry family member is happy and well cared. for. I am so thankful to have met Ryan
and will not hesitate to use her again in the future. She gets an A+ in my book and is highly recommended!
Many Thanks! The Raymond Family and Tucker | York, Maine

ANGIE
Referral letter by JoAnn Actis-Grande | client since April 4, 2019
Oh how I love to travel, but I hate leaving my dog!
Thanks to a dear friend, I found Ryan. She wanted to meet me and my girl Angie, a 5-year-old Brittany, before making a commitment. Good idea for all involved. Ryan has a meticulous fenced in yard and home. Her two Goldens are beautiful and extremely well trained. I knew Angie would be happy there.
During Angie’s one week stay she had lots of play time, naps, affection, and even went on outings. Ryan sent me pictures daily. Angie ran free for the first time. I knew Ryan would keep a close eye on her while making sure Angie was safe. It was a great experience for her, especially as a bird dog. When Angie came home, she lost a little weight (which she needed) and was tired from what I consider a week of boot camp. I highly recommend Ryan for dog sitting and/or day care. Angie and I now consider Ryan a good friend!

PEARL
Ryan is truly one of a kind, and so is the warm, loving, fun and exciting contentious professional and wise care that she provides the four-footed visitors lucky enough to spend time at her amazing home!!
I had no idea that an option existed that was even 10% as wonderful for our dog as Ryan’s home turns out to be.
Our dog lives in a loving home with us, and is a puppy too, and yet now that she has been to Ryan’s for a few visits, when we pull into Ryan’s driveway our dog is excited, and eager to find Ryan and her dog friends and to play and play.
Ryan takes her and the other dogs on adventure walks in the woods or at beaches, and in her backyard (more like a huge dog playroom outdoors) is already the setting for endless hours of running and chasing and playing.
Ryan sends us photos and video during the visit, so we always know that our dog is having a wonderful time.
I feel like we, and our dog, are the luckiest folks in the world to have Ryan nearby.

MOLLY & SANDY
I found Pawsitivity31 at Seapoint Beach, Ryan and a car load of happy dogs were enjoying the day. I kept running into them at the beach and noticed how good she was with all the dogs and how happy everybody was. My dogs, 2 yellow lab sisters, love the beach also and we are there every chance we get.
When I found out she does day care and boarding, I was delighted- we had a trip coming up and I dread putting the girls in a kennel. First, their dogs are wonderful with other dogs, and people! They are welcoming and sweet and my girls warmed up to them immediately. Their place is amazing- big, fenced yard for plenty of outside time, beautiful deck for dog-lounging and the downstairs is completely furnished for dogs including dog beds and a couch!
The dogs are not just allowed downstairs, they are welcome in the main area of the house. My girls are a tad spoiled and were delighted to be allowed upstairs with the family! And that is really the amazing part of Pawsitivity31, they treat every dog like family. They take care of every detail for every dog's individual needs, the dogs are never left unattended, and they go on daily field trips!! This attention and LOVE eliminated my girls anxiety over being left- what a blessing!
We got daily pictures of them relaxing and going on adventures and snuggled up with their friends. When we picked them up they were relaxed and happy- no post kennel anxiety! I highly recommend Pawsitivity31! I have had dogs for 30 years and this is the absolute best boarding we have ever had!!!

MARTY MARKOWITZ
Ryan - Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of our little fur baby, Marty. I can tell that he had an absolute BLAST! Loved all the pictures you sent during his visits. Its such a load off our minds to know someone is watching out for him the way we would. I know Marty is eagerly anticipating his next day at Pawsitivity. Thank you ! Sarah, George & Marty

WINSTON
Ryan - Thank you sooooo much for everything. Having Winston stay with you while we were away made me feel so much better about leaving him. I knew he is so happy there. It was really good for him to be around your dogs & it was clear that he got a lot of positive attention, a little training and your continued pix & videos were comforting. Reassuring a mom who left her first ever puppy that he was in the best care possible. He slept for like 12 hours when he got home. I think he was a little disappointed to come home after all the attention he got from you and your dogs. You're the best. He'll be coming to daycare soon. Kristen

JAEGER
We are the family of a nine year old German Shorthaired Pointer. Over the years, if we’ve had to go out of town without him, we’ve always had family members at home or a friend who came in to spend the night. Those options had gradually fallen away, and feeling very guilty for never having gotten him “used to” being boarded, we were starting to accept that we’d just have to stay home from now on. We ran into Ryan and her crew while walking at Fort Foster. I could tell right away she was a “dog person”. Her crew was happy and social, and relaxed. Surrounded by a variety of pups, she was calm and yet I could tell she had everything under control. I was really impressed. Shortly after, we planned a three day getaway to NYC. Family/friends weren’t available so we took a deep breath and called Ryan. Best decision we’ve ever made. She had us drop him off the night before we left and invited us into her home, where the accommodations are not crates, but her living room couches, and a large fenced-in yard. Jaeger made himself right at home while we talked, and any concerns were addressed and solutions found before we left. For example, he had been taking off too far on “free runs” lately, and we were concerned he wouldn’t come back for her, as it wasn’t “dad’s whistle” She addressed that by offering a long lead. She didn’t dismiss any concern or make us feel like silly parents. During our trip, she sent us several emails with pictures and video clips...everyone was having a great time! That helped us relax and really enjoy our time away. Though Jaeger was very happy to see us when we returned, I think he misses his buddies. We will have to plan another visit soon.. Sue, Gary & Jaeger

MICKY
Like a number of folks doing reviews on Ryan and Pawsitivity, we had a "gift encounter" at Fort Foster. I say 'gift' as that is how I view that meeting and feel about Ryan and the care that she gives to all of our furry family members. It was clear from that first meeting that Ryan is compassionate, fun-loving, and a great "reader" of animals...she balances play (in her yard and at the various parks where she spends several hours each day) and rest...Now I can now speak from personal experience re: her ability to "read" an animal - she read "Micky's nose behavior" - you see my golden doodle Micky loves to run in the woods in pursuit of a deer via the scent of their tracks...while at Stratham Hill Park she saw that nose start to rise in the air and got him on a 20 foot retractable lead before he went on his "romp." Ryan knows that on a first overnight a dog needs to check things out and select a bed on his/her terms...Micky did and even changed his location comfortably...If that isn't enough, Micky always has a great smile, but he grins ear to ear when we arrive at Ryan's house. When I go to pick him up, you can see the disappointment on his face "aw mom do i really have to go?" If all of this isn't enough, Ryan has accommodated my work schedule vs. 'drop off 9 to 10 on Sunday.' I cannot say enough about Ryan and Pawsitivity ...
Thank you Ryan! Your fans, Terese and Micky/McDougal/MickyDee/Mickydoo...

OLLIE
A month or so ago, my boyfriend, my dog Ollie, and I ran into Ryan and her Pawsitivity Pack at Fort Foster. While a half a dozen dogs ran around her happily -- running, playing, and trying to lick my face -- we were drawn in by her energy, composure, and easy demeanor. After this chance encounter, we asked Ryan to start walking our dog Ollie a couple days a week while we are at work -- and we cannot believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found Pawsitivity! Ollie LOVES his time with Ryan and, it's not uncommon for her to pick Ollie up and bring him back 2-3 (or one time, 5!) hours later after an amazing session at Fort Foster or Stratham Park. She always shares a ton of photos and videos of Ollie and his friends at the end of the day so that we know how much fun he had. We know that Ollie is in the best possible hands with Ryan while we're out, and that he is happy and playing with all of his buds :-) Julie Doxsey | Client since April 4, 2018

ANNIE EARL
We met Ryan while visiting the Seacoast area to decide whether we wanted to call it home. Needless to say, because of meeting Ryan and others during our trip, we settled in Kittery. Our first meeting with Ryan occurred at Fort McClary on a beautiful, cool September evening. Ryan was bundled up and playing with her two beloved goldens. We knew instantly that if we moved here, we would want Ryan in our lives - not only as a pet sitter, but as a friend. Fast forward 6 years, here we are. We see Ryan weekly. Either we meet her while walking our dog or we meet up to walk with her. She always has a truck-load of happy dogs enjoying their daily adventure. She dog sits for us whenever we need her - even when last minute trips pop up. There is no one else with whom we would leave our sweet, timid, rescue Annie. Ryan is honest, hilarious, trustworthy, loving, kind, hardworking, genuine and one of our favorite people - not just in Kittery, but anywhere! Cara, Sean & Conner Konecci and Annie

BENNY
Our dog Benedict is in love with Ryan! He loves spending time with her and her "pack". He loves the daily "field trips". I love that he is not crated all night like other places. Instead he has someone always around. that loves him and treats him like part of the family. The door to door service has also worked well for us. Ryan is fabulous and oozes good doggie energy! We all love Ryan. She's flexible and offers a great service. When our family cannot care for our Benedict - its an easy call to make!.

I never have to worry when my dogs and puppies are with Ryan. They love her and the incredible care she gives them. When my daughter comes home to visit, she can't wait to send Luna & Beau to spend time with her & all their friends. It's our dogs home away from home. Love the pictures and videos she sends during every time she cares for them, I feel like I'm with them. When she arrives to pick them up, they greet her at the door with joy, jumping all around her and in a hurry to go off with her. They don't know where they will go or what they'll do on a given day but we all know it will be a lot of fun and they'll come home tired. She really loves dogs. The smile on her face when the dogs greet her at the door is genuine. She's gentle and patient and the love she has for our dogs is unmistakable . Ryan has given me a lot of great advise relative to the training of my puppy. I have seen her techniques and training first hand and how well they respond to her voice commands and hand signals. We're all so happy we found Anna Ryan Mercik.
I never had a need for a dog sitter until about a year ago when my kids moved out. A trip came up and I wasn't sure what to do. I checked out dog sitters online. I got referrals from friends. Then I saw Ryan's online profile. She agreed to drive to my home where I interviewed her for over an hour. During that time I observed how she and my dog Logan responded to each other. To my surprise, my dog was very affectionate with her and gave her a couple dog kisses. She gently pet him and found some of his favorite spots to be pet. I knew everything would work out. Never having left my dog with anyone outside my family before, I was nervous but she did all she said she would and then some. Those pictures and videos came along every day. I saw how happy my dog was and how much fun he was having. My worries ended. When I got a puppy, Lucy, a few months ago, she helped me train her. She feeds my dogs breakfast and supper when I ask and when she knows I won't get home from work until late; I don't have to ask. She just knows the right thing to do and does it. HUNTER
We left our Hunter with Ryan for about 8 days while we were away. To say that Hunter enjoyed his stay there is an understatement. She treated him like her own. He ran and played with other dogs, went on long walks thru the woods, and even ventured into a brook on one of their walks. He got his paws wet for the first time ! (He hates getting wet) Not only did he come home exhausted, he lost weight as well ! Being a puggle he loves to eat and needs to lose a few lbs... I' ve already scheduled him to stay with her when we go away next year. ❤️ her, never worried while he was in her care ! I highly recommend her.

DESMOND
Ryan / Pawsitivity31 is my dog's home away from home! As a single dog mom, it is vital to me to find a person who I can trust, and whom my fur kid adores. Ryan opens her home and provides an abundance of TLC in a way no other boarding facility can do. My dog Desmond is a lovable golden retriever who lives for hugs, treats and the great outdoors! He gets all of that and more, thanks to the custom plan Ryan put together to meet his needs. Whether it's taking dogs to the beach, cuddling with them by the fire or enjoying the spacious lush yard, I know my dog is safe, sound and happy! I've witnessed Ryan caring for several dogs at once. She is always calm and in control. I believe the dogs pick up on her soothing and confident energy. That paired with her training helps me sleep at night while I'm away from my beloved dog. I appreciate the professionalism and flexibility consistently demonstrated by Ryan.
She sends me an a sort of picture/video journal of Desmond's activities throughout his stay and will even FaceTime me because she knows how much I love my dog. I highly recommend her and her team to all my friends, family, co-workers and people I don't know! So does Desmond. Michele & Desmond Brouillard

I have three important criteria when hiring someone to take care of my pets; reliability, love for the animals & experience. Ryan Mercik has all three and much more!.
You can be assured that Ryan will be at your place on time and ready to roll whether to take your dogs our for a short walk or fun adventure, stay to feed and play with your kitties/dog, or take your pet to her home for a few days. Ryan has made herself available for overnight stays. Your home will be safe, secure, kept clean and she will even bring in your mail, newspapers and any packages without having to ask.
There is no doubt that Ryan has tremendous love for all animals. She has an uncanny intuitive understanding of their needs; and is kind, caring and gentle in carrying out her duties. When Flo, my Russian Blue kitty, needed daily injections, Ryan administered them expertly. I never worried. Our Border Collie-mix, JPEG, absolutely adores her! Ryan has proven time and time again that she has the energy and enthusiasm to keep up with her.
I've known Ryan since 1986. She's always had her own pets (a mix of cats and dogs who always magically got along. Ryan has taken great care of my pets over the years and I trust her judgement completely.
Ryan Mercik's Pawsitivity31 is unparalleled dog care! Located in Kittery, Ryan takes advantage of the all the natural beauty that surrounds her home. Dogs in her care enjoy navigating forest trails, romping on the beach, and swimming in the lake…..all within an easy car ride.
We've booked our Border Collie mix, JPEG, for her second doggie vacation of the summer in August. Ryan took care of JPEG for 2 weeks earlier this month, and we could tell by the photos and video that she had a blast! Whether on an outing or at Ryan's home relaxing in the comfortable doggie den, JPEG had a lot of fun, exercise, and the sleep that she requires as a senior dog.
Ryan has an uncanny knack for knowing a dog's needs and wants. But she is also careful to follow any instructions that you may include in order to properly care for your dog. We trust our beloved JPEG to Ryan and Pawsitivity31, and look forward to more fun photos and stories!

ARUN, GOMI & COURAGE
We've known Ryan for over 13 years now. We became friends on account of Courage, our now 13 year old male Golden Retriever, and her Goldens, Brook and River. We lived in the same neighborhood in Irvine, CA and became friends over the course of a few chance encounters.
Courage had the greatest time whenever we left him with Ryan. He was always so happy to visit and be with her and her dogs. Our guy learned a lot from Ryan and her Goldens. Her Goldens are a living example of what fine training means. Ryan makes training fun for the pooches. They learn so much as they're playing. It's never a regimen. It's always fun based training.
Ryan pays the greatest attention to detail when it comes to the needs of our dear pets. She has always gone out of her way to ensure that the pooches stay happy by giving them lots and lots of playtime, long walks in the open and loads of love. The best part of leaving your baby with Ryan is that when you pick them up, they're happy and tired. It gives you all the time at the end of a busy day to relax when you know that your baby has had a wonderful and joyous time with his/her buddies.
We've left Courage at Ryan's on several occasions. Ryan is always accommodating with last minute requests and she was our life saver on so many occasions. We were also able to take some vacations thanks to her. She was always more than happy to care for Courage when we were away. We couldn't have found a better place to leave him PERIOD!! Ryan will keep you informed of how the day's going by sending quick texts and many fun pics and videos. Many, many times she picked him up and dropped him off at our home which saved us the trip.
For Courage, Ryan is her aunt and Brook and River, his cousins. It sounds cheesy but that's how amazing Courage was loved. It was the saddest thing for us to say farewell to our dearest friends when they decided to move back to the east coast. Courage's ears still perk up every time we pass by their former home and mention their names. I can guarantee that having Ryan care for your pooch is THE BEST decision you'll make. I'd be more than glad to answer your calls if you have any specific questions.

AUSRA & BUDDY
I have known dear Ryan for approximately 20 years. She has helped me out with my almost 15 year old golden retriever when we have been out of town. She is extremely reliable, has helped me out with Buddy even with minutes notice and is always loving, gentle and responsible with his care. I have always felt extremely comfortable leaving our pup in her care knowing she will shower Buddy with the long walks he absolutley loves. He has always been able to stay in his home, be well exercised, fed and obviously loved while we were away for any length of time. I have no worries when Ryan watches him because I know she'll care for him as I do normally. I love that about her. That's why Buddy and I love her... in part. Ausra Bagdonas

JAGY & URS
Ryan is the best dog sitter we ever used. Trust us, there were many during the last 20 years of owning Briards. She truly loves dogs and is devoted to giving them the best time possible either when they are at her place with her 2 Golden or at our condo. She learned the pooches little habits quickly and is able to provide devoted individual care for each one of them. Ryan is an outdoors person which comes in very handy for the active breeds. She is very responsible and puts safety first when roaming around. If some training is needed - Ryan takes care of it. Best of all, the pooches love Ryan and are always happy to see her. What we also love is her flexibility - last minute bookings - no problem - just a couple of hours or an entire week - no problem for her. We have known Ryan for more than 4 years and can highly recommend her.

DIXY
Ryan is a wonderful person and loving pet sitter. She watched our yellow lab, Dixie, in her home several times while we went on vacation. Dixie loved every minute of her sleepovers and the field trips to the park or beach were an extra bonus. Ryan would send us Dixie updates via text of videos & pictures to share what they were doing. It was always nice to get a text and watch a video of Dixie having the time of her life in Ryan's care. We truly miss Ryan and I know Dixie does too; she moved thousands of miles away to be closer to family. Maureen Ault

WOLFIE
Ryan is one of those magical people who understands and loves dogs. My dog Wolfie understood her body language and responded well to her kind, gentle, fun demeanor. He was soooooo happy to be with Ryan. He always had a lot of love, the exercise he needed throughout the years and he had fun with her well behaved dogs and doggie guests.
I'm a nervous, protective dog mom. But I was always very comfortable leaving Wolfie with Ryan. I knew he was safe, would be fed and exercised like he would be with me. After a week away I found my dog relaxed, happy and tired from playing and outdoor adventures. It doesn't get any better than that. I highly recommend Ryan. If I were a dog - I'd want to be with her instead of anyone else. She's amazing. Really. Her gift is how she understands and relates to every dog as an individual. She's something really special and if Wolfie were still alive, he'd say the same.
